Asbestos Disclosure Form

There are disclosure laws in every state pertaining to certain disclosures that must be made by the seller upon transfer of a dwelling property (e.g. radon, lead-based paint, asbestos). Several states have enacted more specific laws than the others. In many states, the seller is required by law to disclose whether theres hazardous material present on the property, and some in particular mention asbestos as a concern. When you are making a transaction between the buyer and the seller as a real estate agent, it helps to know what requirements are there regarding disclosure of asbestos containing material on the property.

This form is a generic example that may be referred to when preparing such a form for your particular state. It is for illustrative purposes only. Local laws should be consulted to determine any specific requirements for such a form in a particular jurisdiction.
